Fall Monotyping with Leaves and Plants
Class Description
Come create some unique monotype prints with us this fall at Tiger Lily Press! We will be using found fall plants such as leaves and dried fungi and foliage to make beautiful, unique, painterly prints. Each session will start with a walk around the wooded Dunham Recreation Park so participants can forage for plant forms they find interesting and unique. We will then bring these plants back to the studio, ink up a piece of plexi, and arrange the plants on the plexi. After, each participant will run their planted-up plexi glass through the press to create a one-of-a-kind print. Participants will then be encouraged to make ghost prints of their designs, and use the inky plants to make more prints. All ages and experience levels are encouraged to take this workshop- no previous experience is necessary! Come have a good time and get inky with us this fall.
