Printing with Addition and Subtraction
Class Description
This is a beginning course in monotype printing. Throughout this course students will learn how to create tone and values through paint application, and print from their plates. Each student should have a basic understanding of monotype printing, printing one and multiple colors on their plates, transferring images onto plates, and curating and signing prints. Each student will leave this class with one print and one ghost from their plates.

Course Agenda
Week 1: Introduction to monotype printing, equipment, inking plates, and mark-making. A demo of subtraction, perhaps with a wet-wipe, brush, or other tools then a demo of using tools, to create an image to print.
Week 2: Now the focus is on you to play and create multiple images.
